The present and future of Compliance largely depend on its ability to create long-term value for a company’s various stakeholders.

One of the key challenges today — particularly within the legal sphere — is that Compliance is still too often approached from a purely legal perspective and driven exclusively by legal teams. In reality, the current and future success of Compliance depends on a cross-functional approach to change management that engages all stakeholders and aligns ethical standards with the company’s broader purpose.

The Leaders League European Compliance Summit Awards were created to recognize compliance teams that have demonstrated, ahead of their peers and with both courage and integrity, a clear understanding of these essential drivers of value creation through Compliance. More broadly, the Awards celebrate organizations whose advanced level of compliance maturity enables them to generate sustainable value for one or more stakeholder groups.

Each jury is composed of seven members drawn from compliance directors, advisors, and academia. This diversity ensures a broad range of perspectives and a rich evaluation process.

The jury members will primarily assess candidates based on the following criteria:

• Impact on value creation for the targeted stakeholder(s)
• Quality of project execution, particularly the alignment between the initial objectives and the final outcomes achieved
• Degree of innovation — innovation being understood not only in technological terms, but also through areas such as client and employee experience, business models, governance approaches, and value propositions
